Hi recently had need of recovery after had a problem with bike..we waited for over 5 hrs as they didn't turn up and had to be removed by fmg national highways for which there was a cost. Anyway few days later contacted my breakdown insurance cover (r**) and they said would refund me after I sent details and invoice. Problem is they sent refund to fmg who say they cannot find it in their accounts.Where do I go next?

Sounds like a tosser dealt with the case.
Write to them again and ask that they sort it.
If they owe you the money and sent to the wrong account then that's their problem not yours.
If not satisfied, insurance ombudsman/woman/they/them/it can sometimes help.

Son's bike got nicked after his clutch cable snapped.

Phoned RAC at 18.00 and told 00.30, ended up leaving bike and getting girlfriend to come for him.

When they eventually turned up, bike gone.

Keep at them and then go down the official route as suggested above.

Then when you are finished, let us all know who these idiots are! I've got a 20 year old bike and I'm going to be getting some cover come spring!
