Whats involved in road registering a motocrosser these days?
I can add a lighting stator and all the associated bits to get it through an MOT no problem but what is the paperwork process, whats involved, what does it cost and how long does it take? Thinking about a late 2000s crf450

You don't need lights for an MOT if it only has one seat.

Suggest you join an Enduro forum and repost there as I'm sure it's been done many times before.

For officialdom:- https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval

It's a piece of cake.

Make sure seat height matches that of an enduros minimum.

If it's still a thing, NOVA application to check for duty/tax paid.

Get a dating cert from main dealer/manufacturer, or settle for a Q plate.

Engine and frame number used to register the vehicle.

You also need to pay VED on application which requires you to have insurance, on the VIN not the reg, you will need to call around as it's temporary. It then needs an MOT.

Then you send it all off. Get a V5 in the post a few weeks later.

I got insurance on two auld non-registered bsa bikes from Hastings.
If that's any use.

The bikes are registered now, one was sold. One under repair/s (still).
