I've started scoffing the Christmas stockpile already Rolling Eyes

I've eaten the box of posh Italian biscuits (less of them in there than you expect anyway! ...) and now I've started on the posh "BiscuitsForCheese"

Starting on the boring ones first: those flat oaty things.
Which are actually quite nice in a bland Rich-Tea-but-with-Hairier-Balls sort of way. Thinking

I always buy brie every week - except this week because I bought all the Christmas biscuits Laughing most of which I've now eaten Rolling Eyes I'll just have to buy them again *sigh*

I have it a lot in omelettes, its much nicer than just cheddar.
With flash-fried cherry tomatoes, super-high heat just long enough for 'em to sear and break open, then chuck in the egg mix and drop bits of brie on top. Fold and scoff.

Scottish Smooth Oatcakes (Nairns) with:
Stilton
Saint Agur (they do a spreading version too.)
Camembert
Brie
And cetera.

I smear a smidgen of lurpak unsalted spreadable on my oatcake before the lump of cheese is added.

They go great with any cheese really.

I went off Nairns because palm oil has no place in an oatcake.

I like a big 1/4" thick slice of salted butter on an oatcake.

I'll see your sleeveless puffa and raise you the navy blue, leather trimmed, felt 'jerkins' the country set are currently wearing - my odious ex-wife included.

Is that weird?

I'll 'Nope.' you.

I wasn't restricting comment to burds under 50s.

Cool

My gears have just been ground by someone sideswiping my bike (at 11.25pm) and then just driving away without getting out of their car.

Well, a passenger (my neighbour) *did* get out and another lady (somewhat intoxicated-sounding) escorted my neighbour to her house (denying that anything had happened) ... despite that my bike was at a different angle than I had left it parked this afternoon, and the cover was ripped and dragged under the front tyre, "nothing happened", eh? Bits of plastic on the ground under the bike and the fairing is pulled away from the side of the tank. "Nothing happened"?? We'll fucking see about that.

So while I was busy taking pictures adn checking the damage, the driver never even got out of the car. The passenger got back in after helping my neighbour and they drove off. I should have chased them down the road but I got their rego and have now put in a "Left The Scene" incident on the Met website.

Looks like the front end is a bit wonky, maybe just the mudgard out of alignment but I can't tell, going to ask the guys who work on the Suzuki to pick it up and give it a look over.

I'm pretty sure that the lady on the other side has CCTV that looks up and down the street as well as directed at the parking bay outside her house. So we'll fucking see what really happened.
