Had to force myself to read that story - was horrific. Animals.

Still doesn't make collective punishment right though. The children of Gaza played no part in it.

Hardly a fair comparison. Whatever his faults, Hitler pulled Germany out of it biggest recession ever and improved the life of its citizens hugely. Hamas can't be credited with that.

Move where? All borders have been largely closed for years, Egypt won't let much emigration, Israel will allow a select few in to work and the majority of the land border with them is a 'death zone' if you enter. Add in the Israeli blockade on the seawards side.

Quite frankly thats close to the most ignorant comment anyone on this forum has ever said, and thats quite a high bar.

I can't help thinking the sub-text to all this is Israel is basically pushing everyone out of Gaza in preperation for its full annexation. They have started at the top right and are working their way down to the bottom left. All the while while supplying helpful leaflet drops suggesting where would be a safer place to go, always further South or West.

When they reach the Egyptian border/the sea and are happy there's no Hamas behind them, what will happen next? Everyone who was displaced is free to go back to Gaza city? They'll come back home to find little bits of wood nailed to the doorway and a man with unruly sideboards sitting watching the TV.

As far as I can see, it's a de-facto invasion that's going on just now.

Agreed. Thats why they let the attack that they knew about a year ago to continue.

It's not like Israel doesn't have previous for this.
