Youngest daughter's 30th birthday party... just the right amount of people turned up: enough to have a good time but not so many it ended up in a ruck Wink

Finally managed to Decipher the 'Controls' for the office flashing Christmas lights.
They were causing either:
RES Repetitive Eye Strain.
Minor/Major psychotic interludes.
Having to raise my voice to be heard over them.
And or all of the above.

That's called either a mains plug or a socket switch.

Any problem involving christmas lights can be solved using wire cutters.

Just over 3 weeks until January, can't wait.

I'm ridiculously pleased with my performance at work lately.
I like my job more than a woman has a right to.
Sometimes I have a major fuck-up.
But generally, I actually still enjoy every single day.

Fucking NHS Rolling Eyes
Can't live with it, can't throw it into the burning fires of hell. Laughing

I've randomly flagged something on the TV Guide (Sky Arts) which has turned out to be a really very good Pink Floyd concert of some sort.
Cool

I was home for three weeks in November. I never even plugged in t' telly.
There's nowt on it I need to see or listen to.

I was hoping tv people would eventually run out of ideas for TV competitions.

(The slebrities are who knows who? and the general public that they entrap, are ugly, boring bastirts.)

I probably listen to radio in t' car more than watch t' telly.

Nextdoor.com again, this time the trend is for missing deliveries -

“I’ve had a parcel delivered to the wrong address. Anyone recognise this?”

- followed by a picture of a doorstep. Laughing

I mostly have the telly on so that I can listen to the radio (R6M, no Whamageddon there!) cos I are not got an ordinary one. So I very rarely switch it over to TV because there is so rarely anything worthy of my attention.

But now and then, I watch the odd thing.
I enjoyed Michael Caine in Harry Brown last week.

Currently have got the channel where they're always talking about real life murders Laughing but its just for background noise. I've had enough of the Food Channel for one Christmas1

They say don't get a dog for Christmas but I have. Meet Gem, a Lurcher. A bit different from my usual dogs, German Shepherds, but she's a rescue in need of a lot of TLC and I'm a sucker for a dog sob story.

https://i.postimg.cc/T31074Wq/gem.jpg

Wifie said 'don't ask me to have anything to do with her' so I just went back in the living room from the man cave and said dog is on the sofa with her head in wifies lap getting scratches. Thumbs Up

Oh, and that's our Chrismas tree in the background. Bah humbug. Laughing

I think you'll find her a lot easier. Among my favourite features of lurchers and other sight-hounds is their ability to stand at the door with their lead on at walk time, look at the driving rain howling past and give you an "I'm happy to sit in front of the fire and watch TV if you are." look.

Sometimes I wish mine would do this but it seems like the shittier the conditions are, the better he likes it.

Greyhounds and whippet and Salukis are nervous, fidgety, fukirz.
Lurchers are a bit wiser and are known to rather lie around relaxing whilst their cousins Champ at the Bit.
Poachers favourites.
Ancient cross bred dogs.

I almost saw a whippet chasing a rabbit one day.
Almost saw it, as I think it was travelling at near light speed. Laughing

Vaxing my lounge carpet, it felt so satisfying to see the carpet become at least 4 shades lighter, the amount of muck that came out was unbelievable.
