After the video was there some hardening?
My hardening was during the video.
I love that all that kind of shit.
I wish I had gotten into it years ago. ____________________

No, it was just a test gear in brass. I do have a small heat treating furnace I can use for small gears but most that I make are just ordinary mild steel. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Old bimetal strip one was on its way out - boiler only requires a contact closure to start stop so I gambled 12 quid on this beauty.. you can even optionally program a temperature pattern across the day/week.
Only downside is it requires batteries.. still 12 quid! Let's hope the relay lasts. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

My missus doesn't venture into my workshop, well, apart from her hand that is. I call it the magic hand. Door opens, hand appears with a full mug of tea, puts it down, grabs the empty mug then disappears through the gap and the door closes.
I'm not even 100% certain it's her hand doing the exchange TBH. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Tickets to see (what remains of...) the Stranglers and Buzzcocks at the finest out door venue in the country - the Piece Hall in Halifax. Assuming nobody else carks it between now and August and the sun shines, it will be a wonderful way to spend a summer's evening.
Question - what percentage of original members are necessary to avoid a band becoming a 'tribute' act, plus does the main singer have to be there? ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M
Gone (in order of ownership) - Raleigh Runabout, AP50, KH125, GP125, KH250, CBX550, Z400, CB750FII, 250LC, GS550, ZXR750H1, Guzzi Targa, GSX750F, KH250 x2, Bimota SB6R and counting... |

I was lucky enough to see the Buzzcocks locally about 10 years ago before Pete Shelley left us.. Excellent night.
OTH I've also see the 'official' Dr Feelgood and I'd say teh tribute 'The Feelgood band' are somewhat better.. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

I went to Morrisons with two very distinct things on my list : (1. loo rolls 2. cat food) and I came back with about a dozen.
Loo rolls, cat food, double cream, whipping cream, macaroni cheese x 2, box of salad, two tabletop conifers disguised as Christmas trees by virtue of having a reindeer on a stick in them, and a packet of paracetamol/ibuprofen each. I think there was something else but I can't remember what.
And six eyeshadow pencils from bloody Superdrug next door, all different colours (technically) although a woman my age shouldnt be wearing that sort of eyeshadow, it'll just sit in my wrinkles and make me look old(er) *sigh* ... and three packs of two eyeshadow brushes, cos they were cheap. WTF. One of the eyeshadows is green and one is purple. I feel an Endora moment coming on.

I don't even know - I'm too tired to figure out how the fuck it works. Its got sliders and stuff on it, but not an English pluggy-in bit - only European
I was distracted by the fact that it had two USB charging sockets on the side of the thing and I thought I could charge my phone AND my battery pack at the same time.
Luckily I found a seat in the Departures lounge that had a USB charging point beside it.
Tesco sell them wee UK 13amp to EU 2 pin doofurs for cheap. So at least you can still use the fkng thing here in the UK
*(at the airport on the way home, cos my battery was running low and I forgot my European one and I was worried my phone would run out and I wouldnt be able to show them my bloody electronic bloody boarding bloody card ) |
