What I will do is ride a different bike on friday and ride at 25mph, that should annoy them!

Or simply take the day off.

I am about to type a covering letter and will post it in the morning so I will have to wait a while.

I promise to let you people know the outcome.

This would be great to send to "The Sun", all the readers would wet themselves laughing.

Get the bike booked into a big reputable delership a long way off on Friday and dump it there at 9am and make sure you dont pick it up till tea time. Then take the letter in to the police station on saturday and say its was in the garage all day and the dealer will back you up on this Very Happy

I had a nip for jumping a red light. The time was wrong on it and I could proove it. They had not changed the clock from summer time to winter time. I got off with it.
If you send them a letter explaining their fault they can't send you a letter saying ok well we will do you for this then.

You will get away with that.

All I wrote was "find enclosed the NIP that has been sent prematurely"

Keep It Simple.. Razz

In case you lot don't know, you can sent stuff to P.O boxes recorded delivery, so that's how it will be sent, it will also prove I sent the reply before the alleged offence took place.

Would actually be worth taking it to the tabloids.

The more ridicule heaped on Greed Cameras, the better.

If they can't even read the date right, what chance do they have of getting your speed right?

Might be worth pointing that out to the press. Thousands of wrongful conviction claims will add weight to what most of us with an ounce of common sense know.

Speed is only one factor in an accident.

And Greed Cameras distract a riders/drivers attention away from the road.........

Cheers,

Byrnie.

Don't forget to take a photocopy of the NIP, also you could send a copy into MCN entitled "Police now employ Empaths"

Another Thumbs Up for naming and shaming the scamera operators.
This wouldn't be Essex police by any chance is it?

Dude,

Seriously, send it to the Sun. Tell them you are a journo student so they think you know the business (which maybe you do, I don't know).

Say:

'I've got a "funny" for you (explain what it is) what is it worth?'

Expect at least £100.

The Sun pay really well and generally make sure their sources for stories like this are well paid as they want the repeat business so to speak.

Do it today so it has better impact. And if they ask if you've published it elsewhere, tell them no.

Best,

Luke
