It's effectively a warzone. Kids will be playing in craters and doing all sorts of stupid things: "I found these bullets, let's see what happens if we smack 'em with a rock!" Shocked

Welll... Kids hitting bullets with rocks is probably not going to end well, regardless of if they are overpressure or not. It's not a particularly shock sensitive expolosive. I think they just used very hot and fast burning pistol propellant and filled the casing right up in the Vietnam ones. Plenty enough to greande the breach of a rifle but it's not going off unless you dent the primer

I believe some of the Vietnam era spicy rounds do occasinally pop up in the US. 'nam being an own-goal that keeps on giving.

For the hat trick they'd need to assassinate some more people in the Iranian regime. Let's see what happens next week Smile

They've already done that - pager or mobile on that Raisi helicopter.

Assassinations including attempted seem to be becoming commonplace.

I'd imagine the exploding pagers and mobile phones will also become a common tactic. Certainly bet the likes of ISIS and Al-Qaeda were taking notes.

Seems these are now acceptable tactics. What could possibly go wrong?

It'll be interesting to see how effective this whole exercise will be with regards to testing Hezbollah's resilience as an organised movement.

Today the top of the organisation has been wiped out but yesterday it was "rank and file" with the pagers and radios. No matter how they were organised it's not an unfair assumption to say the Hezbollah command structure is in tatters.

Have Mossad & IDF decapitated their enemy?

Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel - the Israeli military says around 180 missiles were fired, most of which were intercepted

Are Israeli defenses that good or are the missiles Iran is firing easier to pick off than a fat rat with a rocket grenade.

No injuries have been reported so far

They don't seem to be very 'explosive' either as the video in the linked article shows.

Watching the live videos at the time on a number of different channels i'd say that most were 'not' intercepted. More were certainly hitting the ground. Apparently not their most advanced ballistic missiles either. Room for a further escalation if the Israelis leave anything standing with their response.

The word on the street (i.e. unsubstantiated social media posts) for deaths:

One guy in Jericho hit by what looks like a spent rocket stage, ironically his ID says he was Palestinian. Way to convenient a story but the video is pretty dramatic.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp team injured/killed when one of the missiles blew up at launch. Source? "Trust me, bro!"

The only confirmed Israeli deaths are from the Alan Snackbars murdering people in a Tel Aviv train station using a conventional assault rifle. Way cheaper and more effective than 180 missiles Rolling Eyes

Yes seems that unfortunate fellow was the only fatality. Foreign media is reporting much greater structural damage. The Mossad HQ building outside Tel Aviv was reportedly damaged beyond repair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKF_kZI9ezg Some much less convincing sources are reporting that 20 F35s were damaged on 1 of the 2 airbases that were targeted. The timing of the attack was apparently designed to minimise any civvy casualities at those 3 installations.
