Fuckin Dennis threw up on my duvet this morning.
She's not thrown up for months.

I think it was her idea of a dirty protest for me not only having forced her to take her cyclophosphamide but also because I made them go back to eating cheap cat food (Felix) Laughing

Bit chilly out when the sun goes down. I might have to put serious consideration into wearing my winter jacket. Might zip up the vents in the meantime.

I haven't fed my cat for a couple of years now. She turns her nose up at whatever I give her. She obviously gets fed expensive shit elsewhere but she always comes home... Saves me money. Laughing

My missus had a similar experience, in a previous life... and then one day her cat came home as usual, but with a shiny new collar, tagged with a new name and a new address (in the next street). She went round there and raised merry hell - they were very apologetic. But I think what she was most pissed off about was that her male cat had been given a female name...

Apparently round my way parents are walking their kids to school "tooled up." There's a white van going round trying to pick up kids and of course the police are powerless until they actually kidnap someone Rolling Eyes

Can you not do the job yourself? I recently did a similar sized job to yours and it wasn't a difficult task.
I installed a new shower tray and cubicle, new sink, bog, heated towel radiator, floor to ceiling tiles, extractor fan, floor covering, lights, mirror etc. and I did it to a much higher standard than any tradesman would have.
The downside is that it took me an eternity and almost caused a divorce. The upside is that it cost me around two grand.

I probably could but don't have the inclination.

I'm good at tiling and pretty meh at everything else Smile

Mostly it's all "fitted kitchen" standardised cabinets and counters. The skill is getting it all to fit with slightly imperfect walls and floors. My mum's little kitchen looks very neat... outwardly! But behind the cupboards there's all sorts of offcuts patching it all together.

Being tailgated by the same vehicle for 10 miles today. It was a 73 plate Range Rover so I assume the driver was late for a dodgy car deal or a vajazzle.

Vauxhall blaming it on the governments forcing EV sail through by fining companies who don't sell enough when the market doesn't want them. Labour happy because they haven't lost Ellesmere port factory as well. Evil or Very Mad

Similar story for one of my lads.
Son No2 had similar eye watering quotes for a similar size bathroom

I told him he could do it himself but he didnt have the confidence
so I went up and did the plumbing mods and layout for him
and we started ripping out all the manky stuff until he realised it
aint rocket science and can do it himself in his own time, no rush.

In the meantime his job suddenly went tits up and he's now relieved he didn't commit to
spending thousands on something he was well capable of doing himself, learning new skills and enjoying it.

Why do people invent a clumsy word like “winningest” when “best” does the job? Grinds.

I doubt winningest was invented per se, more probably used by some
retard and equally retarded people copied them.

GPs. I genuinely don't think they can be arsed any more.

Was pretty worried this morning, I was up early with a one sided headache, visual disturbances and tingling/numbness on one side of my tongue and lips as well as feeling generally dysphoric/issues with visual tracking.

Got an emergency appointment with the GP who did a moderately thorough neuro exam and is pretty convinced I'm not having a stroke/TIA. Probably a severe migraine, which I do sometimes get but not generally beyond a short lived visual issue that goes away after a paracetamol and a 15 minute quiet sit down.

What she didn't check was blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate/rythm or blood sugar. Basics.

Given I'm classed as overweight for my height and in my late 40s, this strikes me as fucking outrageous bordering on negligent.

As it happens, I have the equipment at home to check all those things myself and they are within normal limits... but she doesn't know that,

I realised a few weeks ago I had a spongey floor, and lifting up the vinal the chipboard replacement floorboard was completely sodden and getting a little dodgy due to a bath drain leak that was leaking under the vinal so no visual indication. Anyway, to do this I had to take out all the bathroom furniture, replaced the floor, replaced the problem item and various fixings inc some copper items and new bath silicone and had to retile a section as well as remove a standard radiator and extend the pipes to the heated towel rail sat fitting on a different wall and fitted a different floor covering. It took me a week and a half (life is busy) but it was rectified for about £170. Could have been cheaper if I'd shopped around more but certain things are needed quicker than others if you want to maintain a working household sans bathroom.

LMFAO..

Thing is some (thick/lazy) people will pay this so they (robbing plumbers) feel justified.

Only pay if the price includes two permanently resident Thai masseuses (sp. ?) who can survive on fresh air and man custard.
