If you’re after a spot by the coast with some sweet mountain roads nearby, Costa Brava is a solid choice. Tossa de Mar, for example, has that perfect mix—chill beach vibes with awesome, twisty roads just a quick ride away. Me and some friends did something like this last year.
One thing, though—definitely book the bikes ahead if you’re going in May. It gets packed, and rentals can run out quick. And if you’re flying over, check out TravelBusinessClass for some good deals on business flights. I managed to save a bit and used it for extra stuff on the trip.

Before you finalise on May, you might want to bear this little gem in mind:
https://www.euronews.com/travel/2022/11/25/long-queues-and-scams-will-the-new-eu-entry-system-cause-border-chaos

Basically the EU's new Border Control system is due to come into effect then, involving biometric data, paid-for visas etc for non-EU citizens, so I think it's fairly safe bet that border crossings in May will be utter carnage.... Shocked

Seems to have been delayed....indefinitely.
