Weird shit going on

Just happening in the last day or so: when I log into the forum using Chrome my CPU goes nuts. Sometimes it's 15%, sometimes 60~80%. Close the tab with the forum, CPU goes back to normal.

Some sort of cryptomining thing?

BTW incognito mode doesn't do it, neither does Edge
