Late afternoon/early evening yesterday. Mate calls me up to say he's at an 80s disco at a bar in town.. 'There's women in here!' he enthusiastically reports - so I duly pitch up around 6 ish however it's pretty dire so he buys me a pint and we talk a bit.. the aforemenstioned women, well most of them, just left... he says. Yeah right.

But then, from around a corner comes an attractive blonde with a great arse but a slightly wide mouth, I'm guessing late 40s early 50s so quite a bit younger than I, starts dancing with her mate, looking around to catch my eye so it seems. My mate meanwhile is cajouling me to talk to her..
.. then it dawned on me she's a carbon copy of my ex-wife on the dance floor, bumping and grinding a bit and tossing her hair in that 'come and get me manner', well I fell for it 25 years ago and look where it landed me.. so I smile politely and fail to make any moves.
She tries again before eventually grabbing her coat and disappearing off.
I'm now of mixed emotions, both somewhat relieved not to get involved, and yet disappointed in myself for not trying harder to get a (much needed) shag, given the paucity of opportunities in the past few years..
