Found some money under a car at Lincolnshire Showground yesterday.

Left a note on the car windscreen asking if they'd lost some money.

Got a text this morning saying yes and the correct amount so did a bank transfer

Today I had a conversation with one of the regular dog walkers in my local park, quite a spritlely but rather elderly gent.
Anyway he told me that he'd recently been the victim of a ride by robbery where a local scumbag yoot had snatched his carrier bag while he was out on his regular dog walk.
Normally this would have ground the old cogs but on this occasion, the aforementioned carrier bag contained two weeks worth of his dogs shit that he was going to put in one of the parks poo bins.

We did laugh.

Why do you want to avoid other people.
Is it just the people or is it the dogs as well?
Billie loves meeting other dogs.
She runs round in circles going "chase me!" while the other dogs look on longingly Laughing

Jeez... wrangling a decent deal out of Virgin last month was bad, today Vodafone came up for renewal.

TBH it had me flummoxed. Renew my contract direct from Vodafone? ~£84 per month. Instead I've gone via Metrofone (who? exactly!) ~£66 per month with 400GB more data and a Z Fold 6 instead of an Galaxy 25 Ultra. Huh. Um... okay Smile

The contract is also for device + calls plan as one price. Our accountant anticipates the trend of splitting them out as separate bills will eventually be seen as "benefit in kind" (the same BIK company car owners are aware of) so the new contract continues the obfuscation Very Happy

I’ve insured two bikes and a car through the same broker for over a decade and they were decent when a bike got stolen so I stayed. A couple of years ago all the premiums leapt over 50% but I paid thinking it was a blip (and I couldn’t be arsed to shop around) but they never came down, so this year I thought I’d play hardball knowing I can get insurance at half the price now. Their response was that they only have one insurance company interested in motorcycle insurance so take it or leave it. I’m leaving it. I’m still surprised they didn’t fight back though.

The refurbished like new Samsung Galaxy S20+ I bought from GiffGaff in January for £229 developed a vertical pink line on the display, the first time I've had an issue with a Samsung phone.

Anyway, two year warranty so sent it back for repair ... they couldn't repair so sent me a S21+, since they didn't do the S20+ anymore. So a newer model at no extra cost, but screen resolution dropped from 3200*1440 to 2400x1080 and no SD card slot, so I complained.

Just received my as new S21 Ultra, same high resolution, better cameras etc, no SD card slot but I can live without that ... so basically got a newer model which would cost £329 for £229 ... result Thumbs Up

a cover is the only solution really. if birds dont get my car, sap and flora from the trees does. closely followed by dust.

I’ve noticed a lot more insect splatter on the car windscreen and on the bike helmet and visor this month, more than typical in recent summers. Not sure why. Dry, mild winter?
