When people set up pits at club racing events, most of them use a gazeebo for working on the bikes in. One of the ones with the scissor joints you can just extend and telescope the legs down on rather than one with a frame you need to assemble.
The valves on a normal VFR750 are easier to do than the ones on a CBR6. Once the airbox and tank is off, the rocker covers are just looking at you and the gear driven cams just unbolt and lift off. Also they don't need doing, I checked mine at 50k miles and they were all in spec. I believe the VTEC ones are more of a hassle.
The CBR6 is all accessable and it's a fairly straightforward job but the alloy frame ones have a cross spar that is in the way of almost everything. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
