On the whole I like it.
A simple display and beeps/led flashes when turns are coming up.

Your phone can do everything it can do but I'd rather keep my phone in my pocket out of harm's way.

Granted a phone in your pocket can give you audio prompts in your headsetbut that doesn't give you the visual route.

I do like the "Relaxed" route mode which picks a nicer route for you. Very much a biker satnav feature. I've not seen it on any general satnav.

So in a nutshell it's a nice to have if you have the cash to burn on it.

I got the metal one so build quality is nice too.
When my Pan is back on the road I'll just buy another mount (cheap) and it'll swap between bikes very easily.

I've started riding my XBR again. The last time I rode the bike, the left exhaust silencer sounded like a paint spray can (stuff rattling inside). A friend of mine took the exhaust apart and welded everything back and now the bike sound nice again. The idle sounds sort of like the Bell UH-1 (Huey) helicopter. Anyway, I did nearly 400 km, in two days, in perfect weather, re-discovered the joy of riding aimlessly through the countryside on my thumper.

I also found two trees that looked nice and I had a lunch in the mountains on the Czech-Slovak border as well. A local (Slovak) dish called ''Brynzove halusky''. Imagine tiny potato dumplings with sheep cheese and fried bacon. Quite lovely, very hearty meal.
