Finally did something I've been meaning to do for a while this week and ordered a bullet cam from RF Concepts, which arrived today. After a bit of mucking about I bodged it all into the bike and hurridly took a quick test run (quick because it was getting dark, and I wanted to watch the Liverpool / Juventus game).

Anyway, here are the quickly edited results. Comments are welcome (expect ones about the off-centre camera angle... ) Not the greatest video - just a quick test. Also, note the Police car coming the other way at the end of the tape, just after I'd backed off from ever so slightly exceeding the speed limit ( Whistle ) Glad he didn't come after me, what with me having taped evidence etc!

EDIT: Video removed (lack of space Rolling Eyes )

Looks good, Move it forwards slightly and encode into a lower size 320x240 is ideal for internet viewing. Apart from that you cant go wrong

Cool chap.. I've been using a bullet cam from them for nearly two years now... I'll post some of my footage from around the TT course later.. it takes a while to work out the best places to mount.. good ones I've found are on teh belly pan pointing forward (see the forks working) on the rear pointing backwards.. good if you got someone following.

Well I was still a bit over the limit, with a noisy can. The worst bit was not being able to see in the mirrors (to see if it'd turned around) because the sun was at the height where it just glared back.

It's the Camera 3 Package from here:
https://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/helmet_cameras.htm

Hopefully I should get some good footage on a trackday at Rockingham tomorrow where I'll have tank mounted.

Yeah, it was just stuffed under the rear cowl.

I hit 146mph (indicated) just before I backed off, and then met him coming the other way! Police Shifty

Nice vid.

I use a bullet cam from RFC for my MTB but always thought that vibrations on a motorbike would kill them. Do you use a special mount or some other damping?

If they survive, I may well make a few vids myself. Thumbs Up

Only what comes with it. The RF Concepts lenses seem to be very popular for use on bikes so you shouldn't have any problems.
