(The top box makes it go faster)

Ok, the full story is, I plan to enter MZ racing on it sometime next year. The bike cost me £230 delivered, and I plan to work on it over the summer ready to enter the series next year.

It's an MZ ETZ 251 (250cc). It starts and runs, but could do with a damn good strip down. It needs a rebore and a piston that isn't made out of butter while I'm at it. It'll also have all lights removed, 2t oil tank and pump removed, all electrics removed, centre stand removed, rearsets fitted, etc.

You wouldn't be the first to suggest that!

It's almost tempting.

This is the 'before' pic binge. It's no-where near ready to race.

And there are strict regulations on what you can and can't do in MZ racing. You can't just shove a different exhaust on there, it has to meet the regs.

I picked this up on ebay. £212.57

delivered for £15 (I let him keep the change from £230).

I picked up the ETZ 125 for £200 out of loot.

They are dirt cheap, and read up on BMZRC.org about MZ racing.
It does wheelie well, better than I thought, and they're nigh on indestructable.

My ETZ 125 gave an R6 a good run once, but the rider of the R6 was USELESS and actually managed to stall it at the previous set of lights. And then highsided it at the next roundabout.

This is fun, I recommend them to anyone.
