I'm buying a motocross helmet tomorrow (I'm going for the whole supermoto look) for road use and I'm going to buy some MX goggles to go with it.

My question is do the goggles need to meet any kind of safety regulations for road use? Does anyone ever check?

Any help is mucho appreciated Thumbs Up

Rob

Goggles don't need to meet safety regulations. Your helmet must be appropriately BS (or whatever) marked.

Goggles are the same as visors, if used they have to be an approved type and comply to the same regs as visors. About the only difference is you are allowed a slightly darker legal tint than visors.

They need BS type approval or something. The hologram scott ones are not road legal as they're not type approved.

Couldnt give a shit what i look like, atleast im warm.

I just dont see the point in going out and spending money on a "kneck" warmer when i have something else that works perfectly fine for me.

Helmets do not have BS marks anymore.

Look for the CE mark instead, the european standard.
