Apologies if posted before.
A go-slow protest is being organised against the new camera setup on the M4 between junctions 14 & 17 on 30 April 2005.
More info from here - https://www.m4protest.org/

It's all well and good having a "go slow" run but how much inconvenience will this cause the members of the public that do not give a shit and want to get from a to b as quick and inside the law as possible.
People have got used to cameras on other motorways
A show of strength |

I have a dislike to cameras just like the next man and I too would like to see an end to them but slowing up the motorway is just a bad way of doing things, it kind of gives me images bordering black mail. If the first go slow day turns out to be a flump or if it get's ingnored, then what, more? leading to more days of slow runs.
There is enough traffic build up on all the motorways and a group of people going out to cause even more congestion is simply,
bollox.

Hi
Afraid it is one of the few forms of protest that are still allowed.
The politicians know that for most people it is not high enough up the agenda to be an election issue so they can ignore it.
The reason we have congested motorways is because of the past decades "bash the motorist" policies, basically amounting to taxing to hell and making life unpleasant while spending nothing. Speed cameras are just another part of this policy.
All the best
