Atlast, I manage to get off a 125 and on to a Hornet, can't wait for the summer. Every day I look forward to riding in to work and back home again, shame about the naff weather though.

Anyone want to buy/ know anyone that wants to buy XR125 12,000 miles good condition. I can email you full spec and colours if you want.

Paul

You know I can actually see me buying a hornet instead of a bandit or sv. Embarassed

Bike looks great by the way, very clean. Whats the mileage and what did it cost?

When I got it, it had 6400 miles late 2001 reg.
I got it for £2350 in the end, got him down form £2650.

I thought about the SV but have always wanted the Hornet, and didn't wanna get the SV thinking "wonder what the Hornet would be like"

What do you ride??

An er5, desperately looking for an upgrade. Decision came down to either a faired bandit or a faired suzuki sv, but now, the unfaired hornet has been drilling at me recently. I could probably put its lack of tank range to the side. Although I am used to 170 miles to the tank on my er5 Shocked

Sounds like you got an excellent bargain, believe it or not, I'd have payed that for that bike straight up. Thumbs Up

I've been getting about 115 before hitting reserve, I get a bit throttle happy and like the acceleration which I suppose guzzles the petrol up.
I don't know what's best between all the bikes, but I know the hornet is a great bike.

At first it was very shocking, couldn't handle the tiny movement of the wrist whilst in 1st gear, felt like I was kangerooing. I took a pillion passenger on the back after not riding it very long and since them the first gear is no problem. It's nice and light too, although not as light as the XR which I forget when I try to weave the stationary traffic.
Definitly not restricted, I have a race can on it too, but getting a new one as it's corroding.
