First, anyone wishing to be pitcrew?
I will need help doing some of the following:
Changing wheels
Getting bike on/off padock stand
Changing sprockets
Taking wheels to tyre bloke
Pushing bike up/down hill to scruitneering bay
Anything else I need doing

This means you will have to be with me until I leave for my race and I would like at least one person to be there when I get back. However
Brands Hatch is quite an open circuit so you should get a dececent view from near where we are parked anyway.

Ideally I would like someone there to help me on Friday, but this is not absolutley required.
Free entry for the weekend to those that do help out.

Mechanical skill is not at all required, though is useful. Being able to do what you're told and asking for help if you don't know what to do is fine Smile.

If anyone else wants to come and watch the friday practice, there should be free entry in the day time.
If you come at a night you can try the "I'm local and want to see my friends, won't be staying for the next day" trick.
I suspect the worst that can happen is they remember you (Unlikely) and try to charge you the next day.

For those that haven't attened or missed my previous posts:
Bemsee is a national 'club' level racing organisation.

Events are run over a weekend with no qualifying; start postions are your final position in the last race.
There are 13 or so classes in bemsee, ranging from tiny, ratty twenty year old MZs to last year's BSB bikes in Forza Extreme. Most classes run two races per day, for both days. Expect some close and competitive racing as people try to make up positions in the 10 lap races on the Brands Hatch Short (Indy) circuit.

Being the relatively short circuit in use this time, it offers some excellent viewing possibilities. From the grandstand you can see 90% of the track. While there was quite a crowd at Lydden, still not coming close to a National or World class racing.

I'm expecting a big southern BCF contingent this time, so a good chance to meet some new people and socialise while you enjoy the racing.
It's not unheard for people to have a few beers as well, though I abstain for obvious reasons.

Leave a reply in this thread if you're planning to come. I can leave my mobile number...
But look out for the big (tall not long) red ex postie van.

Ooh, sounds tempting. Can't offer to help with spannering all weekend I'm afraid but we might come down Sunday if the weather's OK and Andy would be able to help out if needed.
Is it going to be open pit on Sunday - ie would we be able to come in + see you or would we have to just wave like idiots from the side of the track?! Laughing

I will be there in my usual capacity, too busy getting in position to help when your racing , and too drunk at night to offer any usefull conversation Laughing unless it's about Powerballs circumference against sprocket sizes etc...??? Confused ???

I think we should try and get the flag sorted so peeps can find us.

As ever if you need anything bringing along txt me.
I wil be there Fri eve about 21:00 I recon.

I already have access so come on the rest of you, take up the offer..

It's a great weekend and good to be involved in it all.

there's loads of classes and bikes of all ages/sizes.
Look at the link in my sig for photo's

If you are out there spectating keep an eye out for me (I'l be inside the fencing taking photo's or around G's area)

It's always an open pit area at bemsee events, so you can wander around, have a chat with the person you watched crash or win, etc.

Should have pointed out that it's £12 to get in for a day.

If you come anytime before the evening on Friday you can probably get in for free. If you come after that, you can probably just pay for one day, even if you're staying for both.

If I'm able to get a lift down there with you, I'm there, can do pit crew stuff as required if needed. Thumbs Up

It is a good weekend for anyone considering going, find somewhere near to the first corner to watch from at some point over the weekend, any of the big bikes are interesting to watch here as about 35 bikes are all wanting/trying to be on the same line. Smile

Would love to come and watch you G (although I'm crap with spanners lol - and mainstands!) but we're at a rally this weekend.

Maybe if you get a bit further North, I may be crap with spanners but the other half is fairly handy....... Very Happy

If people are intending to stay the night, remember you'll need something to sleep in Smile.

I hope we should have power, so there could be heating if you bring some Smile.

I'll try to make it along at some point, staying for both days depends on transportation options at the moment Razz

Word from the G-man:

They're set up in the lower paddock (not the garage area) so go straight down and they're on the right hand side at the bottom, 20 or 30 metres from the rally building, next to the fence.

If you're going, text G before you leave - he will text you back if there's going to be a free entry ticket waiting for you. No reply... get your hand in your pocket.

Thumbs Up
