hi,
iv'e just bought a gsxr1100k rear wheel,which i intend to fit to my 1997 bandit 600! could anyone tell me if i'll need different spacers or will it fit straight on,

So your fitting a wheel thats the same size or narrower and weighs more. Why?

cos i got the wheel & tyre for £30,the tyre is wider & the wheel is gold which looks a lot smarter + it's got a brand new sprocket fitted and mines knackered!(tyre & sprocket)

Pity then it takes a 532 chain as standard although you can do a 530 conversion.

Probably need cush drive, sprocket carrier, sprocket, spacers for wheel and caliper. Check offset of the wheel as well.

The wheels are both 4.5 inch if I remember and both run a 160 section tyre or maybe your bandit runs a 150, it's a crossover year.

its already got a 530 conversion fitted,also the cush drive is ok,
do i really need a new caliper?
i hope not this was supposed to be a cheap alternative!!!

No not a new caliper, spacers.

The sprocket carriers have different off-sets depending on the chain line.

It's not a cheap alternative it's hard work.

Then again I could be wrong and it might be ok, I've never done it just know the various parts are different.
