The thing which always amazes me with F1 engines is how fast they can increase and decrease their speed. There's an mp3 floating around somewhere of someone having done the fuel mapping to make the engine play a tune. I seem to have lost it though. Sad

That is for a 1999 spec f1 car...the newer ones must surely be faster!!

They are amazing machines. I wonder what the g-force must feel like under accelleration and braking?!

That's slow, it used to be around 4-4.5 seconds from 0-100-0.

Not sure what the figure for that would be now.

That engine did die doing that. The reason it stopped was because it had seized up. The guy doing it was apparantly leaving the team and it was the last round of the season. So they told him he could do it. So he did.

Not bad for half million quid worth of motor. Laughing
