From another thread, what was your first knee down, mine was on a unusual bike ... gz Marauder, a large roundabout between ulverstone and Dalton, had leather pants on with armor, no knee sliders Sad

only touched for about a second but was still fun as the people beside looked on in horror thinking i was going to bin it.

Never got it down, i've been very lent over on an R6 test ride in cannock but never put the knee down. No sliders in my jeans.

No knee down on the NSR in the first year of riding. Didn't have sliders, or very flexible leather trousers for that matter.

Got the GSXR400 a year later as soon as I passed my test. Bought some alpinestars leathers with sliders at the same time. Went out for 5 mins and managed to do it a few times. Smile

On my XJ600, was trying really hard to touch down, first the peg went down, then a little scrape then I instantly sat up straight thinking wtf was that.

Got it down on an ER-5 aswell since then.

Did it a while ago on the exit of a roundabout. Not since then as i don't own any leathers. Have ordered some for next week though.

The noise is scary/loud for the first time on touch down. Very. Thumbs Up

Don't have leathers but got my toe down countless times on a local roundabout, and once my left toe coming off the roundabout. I don't think I'm too far away from it just don't have leathers.

A few years ago now on a roundabout on an industrial estate.

I had earmarked the roundy a long time before as my first kneedown, but couldn't do it. When I turned up after being in Matlock all day there was a guy on the same ZX6R as mine and one on a RF900, both merrily scraping away Sad

So I asked them to show me how to do it and now it's anytime, anywhere Twisted Evil

I even have a titanium set for night-time/dusk, a normal set for daytime and a different set for track days Embarassed

Proper get dizzy knee down, my good old faithful tdr250.
