I dont find this funny my nan 6yrs ago done the samething and is now happily married with the person she met online. Don't forget Zimma and Susi were a results from online dating. It may not of lasted but it still worth it if you dont have the time, money or courage to meet someone face to face.

I would find a date arranged via a dating service awkward and intimidating, relative to conventional courtship anyway!

If you want to meet women bikers the best place to go is a bike training school, whether you work there or just hang around for the banter, there will be female students and you could offer them a ride home or whatever.

I can't comment on agencies but many years ago I was between girlfriends most of my mates had got married and our annual trip to the Bol D'Or in the South of France was looking unlikely. Bike magazine used to have a personal ads section I put an add in asking if anyone wanted to go on the trip (I was thinking about getting together a bunch of blokes for the trip), or wanted to go pillion. I got about 4 responses (all girls), a couple of dodgy ones but one girl stood out and we met and decided to go on the trip. We really got on well and we went out together for about 3 years, we even thought about living together before it went wrong.

Maybe advertising for a girl friend was a bit of a 'sad' thing to do, but I don't regret it for one moment. I was working long hours, my pals were all hitched up and I found it really difficult to get out and meet the kind of girl I was looking for. When I went to a pub, club or party I never seemed to find the right person so I'm glad I took the opportunity.

There are a lot of single people in the world who may never meet so why not be pro-active and have a go, good luck.

its great the way a lot of people jump to the conclusion that because someone want to make a effort to seek out "singles" (note the word "single" now boys and girls) via the web that they must be sad, thats fine you keep to that way of thinking that means there is less competition,

for various reasons people find themselves in situations where they are not meeting people they find attractive or share things in common with, so website dedicated to dating / introducing people to each other can only be a plus, with all this technology that we have mobile phones etc, how many people actually know there neighbours? if you ever go on public transport people are more inclined to phone a friend beacuse they are bored rather then start up a conversation with a stranger,we are all so wrapped up in our lives we mostly ignore each other in day to day life,

a website can get you into the scene of available people note the word available as if lets say you are in the pub 9 out of 10 times when you do find a funky chick or bloke you find they are taken, gay or just a complete ass,

unfortunalty these days some people seem to meet less new people for many reasons example work, we all spend far too many hours slaving our ass's off paying taxs getting the new gadget working for a better life holidays new tv new bike new car the list is endless until you realise after all these things really you just want somebody everybody needs somebody, how many people have met a partner through there place of work? well i for one never will unless i start batting for the same side and that not happening ,as i work in a male dominated industry my hobbies are male dominated, how true is this for someone else?

so cut the lad some slack he is honest wants to find somebody to share his dreams and ambitions with maybe the only ladys he meets are on the dole chav's? not quite his cuppa tea? a dating site can introduce you to people that in day to day life you would never have met, and thats just it, it opens your scope of people to meet that share a common interest, and without help from a website you would never have met them in your entire life,

how many of the people have met up because to this website i am not talking "dating" but as friends to go for a blast with on bikes helped each other out etc, are you sad fuckers? i dont think so.........

so black gpz good for you get out there and have fun meet as many funky fine ladies as you can, meanwhile the rest of the boys here, will sit and chill in the bat cave in cyber land, whilst gpz is setting himself up and having a ball,

If I ever became single again I wouldn't have a problem with trying an online dating agency. Although probably not a biker specific one.

Can't be arsed with the "initial approach/rejection" bit, so this would save me time!

I met my current gf online, but via online chat, not a "dating site" as such (although it was in one of the dating rooms, but that's just where I'd hung out and go to know people)

meeting people online is just another way of meeting people.. but I do find I'm more succesful with people I talk to, find a common interest in, and get to know, than with someone who is "looking for a date"...

but then, maybe thta's just me
