And it really can pull 150 with the handbrake on in reverse (well almost)

Interesting, how's it manage that? Handbrake on...into reverse...and a nudge over the edge of beachy head...

Yep, and at the bottom it also demonstates extreemly good brakes Laughing

Actually guys, I think what Ginger was referring to is the incredible ability to apply the handbrake whilst the Marbella is bombing ( Wink ) along, and it having absolutely no effect whatsoever....

.... thinking about it, it has no effect when you're trying to park either! Shocked Laughing There has been many a time when I have had to move my beautiful special car to a flat space before it removed itself.

Real worrying is when the handbrake works fine then you drive off and your foot goes right to the floor on the brakes Shocked

final decision is that im getting a car until i feel safe on a bike..i dont feel like a "pussy" but i just dont feel like jumping straight back on a bike. my passion for my bike has taken a serious kick in the balls Embarassed

Sounds like a good decision JimboJ.

lol, my mate always complains about how the handbrake has a mind of its own in his special. It seems to encage itself when he goes round corners too quickly. It also seems to slip out of gear in corners. Although all this is only a small price to pay for the 150 mph performance Wink

I understand your decision mate. Since my crash, I have been really cautious on the bike, and I haven't been out for pleasure like I used to do nearly every night before the accident. My crash was the start of October and I still ride like a granny, so it may be best for you to get your confidence back in a cage first

Well, dont run away from bikes without thinking about it.

That would have happened if you were on a CG125, or an R1.

It would also have happened in a car, and you dont know what would have happened then.

Don't let some blind dick put you off riding! You enjoyed riding right, and you still will!

Hi

Things like this can happen in a car. My better half spent 7 years on crutches from breaking her leg (badly) in a car accident (basically the hospital screwed up pinning it together, and by the time this was sorted out the bone had given up trying to heal). When she was in hospital her mothers first words were "well you will have to sell the bikes now".

Being honest, put it down to experience. Yes the accident was the drivers fault, but being dead right can leave you just as dead as being dead wrong. Paranoia is healthy on the road

All the best

Keith

well by the sound of this accident you quite simply had the shit beaten out of you by the road and a car.

dont go off bikes alltogether, but by the sound of it its gonna be a while before you can take the position again and if you do get back on a bike its gonna be a sit up and beg affair.

still, as keith said, you should be getting a lot of money in quite a long time, so see when that comes through, get on something slow and wear a lot of protective gear. that should get back in the mood for speed.
