Fitting 190 to 180

I don't think it will help even if it does fit. A good 180 will do the job fine.

A 190 will slow the steering, stick to the 180.

Supercorsa's have loads of grip but are shit in the wet and do not last.

should i stick with the BT010's then or are there better tyres? Doesn't matter about the cost just want uber good rubber for dry and wet. Very Happy

207RR's are good, although they've now been superceeded by the 208.

There is a 209 out now, not sure if the more road-biased ones are out yet (seen some D209GP around).

The 190 section would only help if you have stupid amounts of power; say over 160hp or so and are properly abusing the rear coming out of corners Smile

. Whether this is a part of 'handling' is another matter.

Supercorsas don't last that long.
For out right stickyness they will be better good conditions.
I wouldn't buy new ones for the road, but go for race scrubs and it starts to get a better value.
I have heard of people getting 1500 or so miles from race scrubs. (they will have probably done under 100 miles when you get them.)

Including fitting i can get them for £270 for a garage. Is that good?

190 only upsets the handling on a bike designed with a 180 rear in mind. Did it to my old Blade because they sent the wrong tyre and I needed to fit it. Just made it steer slower, could tell it wasn't designed for the bikes geometry as I couldn't reach the edge even by peg down, whereas I could with the 180.

Stick with the 180.

Also, the BT010 has been superceded by the BT014. Get them, they're excellent! Thumbs Up

However, if you want a stupidly sticky tyre in the dry, get a BT012SS.

It'll only last you about 1500 miles though....

For supercorsas I really wouldn't pay over £230 or so new, fitted.

I really wouldn't buy new for the road. If you want to try them out, I'd definitely go for race scrubs.

However with only 33hp, you may not even be getting to the point you're warming them up enough, so I'd stick with a more road-orientated rubber.
