I agree with the person sayin 125's are the best. I had to work today but just got to see them go or the second race after bautista and simonchelli had crashed. Lucky i taped and watched it when i got in. Also how did randy de pundiet stay on his bike after going cross country down craner cerves. I was praying for him. I read in a magazine that micheal rutter did a 1:33 in the dry round donington and for rossi to be only 7 seconds slower in the wet. wow.

moto gp was getting ridiculously predictable with rossi always winning at the end, yet i enjoyed this because it really showed how consistent and fast he is on a bike. he should have dropped off on one incident, but managed to hold on, which was unbelievable. it was the second most exciting moto gp race i have seen this season.

The 125s were mental - highsiding all over the place!

I mentioned it in the other Donington thread, but I've posted some pictures I took from the track here:

I agree it was a cracking race!

It was funny seeing them all slide around like they were on ice, and at just how many came off in the first few laps. And what i can say for Rossi he is a GOD. Today he very nearly came off 3-4 times, any other rider would have lost it one atleast one of them, Esp one of the near misses where the rear wheel locked and it nearly flipped. Yet he still managed to win.

He is a living legend, a GOD of racing at this time. It always seems to be the same; He starts off on or close to Pole position, has a bad start and ends up in the middle. But then slowly climbs back up and then between laps 4-1 left he pulls into the lead and wins.

A great Rider IMO.

Todays results if anyone missed it: (Only 15 finnished)
1st - Rossi
2nd - Roberts
3rd - Barros
4th - Edwards

Arghhh!!!! I couldn't watch this race live so I taped it. Unfortunately cause of the delay at the start and the fact it was absolutely soaking which meant they were doing 20secs a lap slower, the race went on longer than I expected and thus it didn't tape the last 7 laps. Really annoying as it was a great race up until then. Anyone know if/where I can download it from?

What a great race.

When Rossi had his moment and out braked himself at the esses, then caught up again within two laps, you knew he had 'alot' in reserve! He is a great rider, but at almost every race you know he's just sticking with the leaders to make it look good for the spectators, then with 3 or 4 laps to go, takes the lead and sticks in a couple of quick laps and coasts to the line.

Personally still think MotoGP is the best bike sport, the skill you need to take a 250bhp bike round a track!!

and don't be bloody stupid, Rossi wasn't "toying" around making the tail flick out before he buggered off into the distance. lol, he was merely trying to get his power down and was lucky in that he caught it intime before it threw him off

Durrrr, I dont think anyones actually suggesting he was literally doing it on purpose !! (The highsides etc...)

But when he was having little digs at baros he was definitely toying with him. Mr. Green

Shame about the british riders though, they both would of been well in the points had they just sat back and took it very easy.

Franco Battaini was unlucky aswell, going down the road so close to the end.

Lets hope the weather turns around for the German GP. Smile

Myself Dom and Jon B were counting the riders from the lead pack, and only 12 finished I think!

Or maybe we just want a more interesting race than one that we can predict from the start. Rolling Eyes

What like Laguna Seca then?

It's not just that Rossi is good, he's awesome. However I reckon that if Sete hadn't lost the plot earlier in the year then the championship would've been better.
Come on Marco Melandri for next year Thumbs Up
