Yup, viewed it with my own eyes, it certainly is a cracker. Love the colour welds on the akrapovic exhausts.
I do have to question this jingle coming from the bike though. Not wanting to put a damper on your feelings for the bike because it's a cracker but you might want to ask some other gsxr owners about it. There's a jingle from it when you were accelerating. I don't THINK it was the exhaust... |

thanks Greg, i had a look over it today whilst i was cleaning it but couldn't see/feel anything that was loose. Just went out a ride there and i occasionally heard a jangle (only twice) when i was going round slow, sharp corners. Don't know about it making the noise when i'm accelerating though.. could just be engine noise or chain noise (incorrect tension) but i'll check with the folk on gixxer.com. I think the jangle i hear is my toolbag though so probably a different thing all together..
A few scrapes down the lefthand side as the previous owner apparently dropped it against his garage door. so it is a 'cracker' in the sense of a small crack on the fairing |

Think the jingle was more a rasp from where I was! Quiet can when the bike is ticking over but sounds evil once you got going! ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

You're putting me to shame, I think I'll have to go and wash my bike today now I don't know how you keep those white wheels clean, mine are blue and that's bad enough! ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |
