Booked a week off from work in hope to go away somewhere with my gf, but she can't get the week off. So, i've started thinking bout taking myself on a road-trip for a couple days around england.
I've trvalled before on my own, admittedly not on a motorcycle, but have no quarms about being on my own, getting a hotel, eating, repairs, etc. I'm not quite sure which routes to take and where exactly to go, but was wondering if anybody else has ever done a short trip around the UK, where they went, what they went to see etc. I've got about 7 days, but i dont think I could stay out that long without training myself.
Cheers

A great trip is to do North wales (take a couple of days to do the mountains), then into the lakes (again a few days to do the famous passes) and the last couple of days in the highlands (Fort william is a great base to get to all the best routes).
Not too much in the way of motorways and you'll see some on the best scenery and biking roads this country has to offer ____________________ https://hyperbikes.forumsplace.com/ |

Yep, you are very handy for both North Wales and the Lake District. You need to watch out for the Nazi traffic cops in Wales though. Highlands of Scotland have the best roads out of the lot but takes a bit more effort getting there.
What sort of bike do you ride? ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
