Just a thought... when talking zip together (the short zip, not all the way round) do all makers pretty much use the same size of zip so you can mix and match, or do they all do different ones so you have to buy the matching bits?

In other words... do I have to take my trousers to AllyPally to find a jacket that fits them, or can I just pay attention to the jacket?

You'd need to take the trou. Some only use a short zip, other have one all the way round. my leathers came with both so I could match them up if need be.

Most companies use different sizes Evil or Very Mad, however quite a few come with the other half of the zip to sew to the other garment.

Yeah my mate nige had the same problem, but a visit to the cobblers sorts the problem out for about a tenner. He now has FT jacket and pants that zip together (long zip and small zip).

aaaah damn good point Stew!

I'll take my trousers to try, but if I find a jacket that fits really nice and the zip doesnt match, I'll just get it modified. Result Smile

(tend to forget there are things like cobblers these days)
