hi guys
dont know if anyone has any suggestions.
my nsr125 2001 runs really rough when its cold/frosty. it keeps stalling if i fully close throttle and take like 15/20mins of driving before it clears and runs properly.
someone told me it could be carb icing...i have noticed that no matter what the weather is like the temp guage shows only just past the blue mark. I was told to get a thermostat that opens later. at 80degrees instead of the 65-70.
could this be the problem, the thermo may be stuck open or broken and has anyone got ant ideas where i could get the thermostat from
thanks if ya can help..really appreciated

the engine can read normal and you may still suffer from the problems same with my bike

carb icing (i think) is when cold air (frosty/foggy night) is brought into the carbs, condenses on the cold metal, slides down the carbs, as more cold air comes in the water freezes around the jets and other parts, choking everything up so the carbs cant fuel properly and/or get the right fuel air mix

grey imports like mine that arent designed for this country, werent fitted with carb heaters or something to counter the effects of carb icing (this isnt exclusive to grey imports) and so in cold weather you just have to suffer the problem

fuel additive apparently helps, i havent bothered, the problem passes after about quarter of an hour keeping the revs high
