ive decided im going to wheelie school soon as i get back from my honeymoon so it ill be he end of march. ive looked around a few and found this one. they charge £200 for the day or £150 if you book 3 or moroe people. they supply a 1200 bandit to learn on and they say if you cant wheelie by the end of it they will give you your money back. if your intrested tell me and i dont want oas of you saying it looks like fun then when its time to hand over he cash you say you cant afford it. https://www.stuntwheelieschool.com/course.html ____________________ 20:02:36 Jammy-R6: any holes a goal

Yeah, we (me and 2 others) were planning on doing it next week, but they don't reopen 'til March ...but we're going off-roading instead
Let me know when you're planning to go, and we can have a bigger group (although I'm not sure if they're actually restricted to groups of 3) ____________________ TiN

Have you been reading MCN today
Little article in there about how to wheelie and a couple of websites to visit..
www.jimmyfireblade.co.uk
www.thewheelieschool.co.uk
A good idea though, wouldnt mind giving that a try. Or the cheaper solution, get zim to teach us, while lending us his bike of course ____________________ "Unlike public school you don't need to have your arse up and your head down to go a long way...." |

might, might be interested... *but*
not that I'm claiming I'm great at wheelies (which I'm not ), but from what I've seen of those days I can already wheelie better than they teach on their one day course |

It's not just about their teachings, G, but more the fact that they're not your bikes (so binning them won't be an issue), and there won't be any traffic/pigs around to stop you ____________________ TiN

If I can get my gear lever set up right binning it really shouldn't be an issue .... and for a novice I very much doubt it is, from my early attempts at wheelies something known as 'fear' actas as a great wheelie control device |

When i went to a wheelie school last year ( b day pressie thnx mum ) i found it to be a great day out. I used Bandit 1200's which was great considering i am on a 33bhp licence also my 16 yr old mate was able to use them too . Although it was great fun i found it a bit limited. After you are shown the basic techniques you take turns for the rest of the day trying to get it up and then keep it up . That is all. You have to pay another days course to be tought how to change gear mid wheelie which i think was a bit of a con. But i suppose they have to keep business some how.
Anyway i would recommend it if you have no idea on how to pull a wheelie, but if you can already then it aint really worth it as different techniques apply to different bikes. And how many of us have a 1200 Bandit stashed away?? ____________________ What is behind me is not important |
