Been offered one for £200. Needs a new Drive belt.

Just a few things I wana know though.
Does anybody know anything about this scooter. Im not too knowledgeable on Italjets, Especially the 2 cylinder ones.

What are they like?

Italjet are bust as you probably know, so general spares are a nightmare for Italjet specific parts. The Drag 50 and 125's used Minerelli and Piaggio engines, so they are alright but the Forumla 125 uses Italjets own design so you can hardly get any parts.

Malossi probably do a drivebelt but I'd only flog it on afterwards, any more engine / bodywork stuff needed and walk away.

Confused
Its a shame because its a really nice scooter.

I not going to be wanting to tune it anyway. But wont Malossi / polini do any pattern parts.

Ive been on all the scooter websites I know and They only do the formula 50. None of them cater for the 125 Twin.

Not too bothered for body work either. If I need anything Ill use Ebay. Laughing

The twin cylinder was in me experience an unmitigated disaster even to the point of making it onto an episode of Watchdog.

The build quality was low, very low even by Italjet standard. It was quite common for one out of the dealership to only run on one cylinder if you were lucky. I remember doing a compression test on a brand new one that had 60psi on one cylinder and 130psi on the other.

Not much I can add really except that you shouldn't touch it. Even the aftermarket warranty companies won't warrant italjets as they are so bad.

If you do your own rebuilds then I'd go for it, not my cup of tea, but sounds like alot of scooter for £200.
