Ive just bought an Aprilia SR125 Moped Automatic.

It has sports exhaust on it, technigas.

my mates sr125's go about 60mph(Clock Speed)

Mine struggles to get to 45mph

I took Air box apart today, today is when i got the moped too, and inside there isnt a SPONGE filter?

Is this why i have shit acceleration, and crap Top end?

Thanks in advance.

Could be as its going to be running lean with out the air filter in the airbox. It could also be running even leaner if the guy who put the technigas on didn't change the jetting from standard. Take a peek at your spark plug to see how its running.

Your carb is probably full of shit.

If you are confident, take the carb bowl off and clean the jets out.
