Last track i did there were no spots left in the inter's so i ended up in the fast group...........at the back Cool , my little zx6 against full on and semi serious track prepped zx10's, gixer thous etc etc....talk about little fish big pond, outta ya depth blah blah.

It really does depend on the rider. I've at least been mid pack fast group on a standard r6 at cadwell - infact back there a year later in a race on a tuned one and I wasn't any faster due to various reasons.

The differenece between thousand and six hundred isn't that great on most circuits - lap times a rarely over a couple of seconds different. At my race meeting at cadwell, a 600 won one of the mixed classes, against seriously tuned thounsands (190hp + etc).

Kinda agree with that, but then again, these boys all had aftermarket Ohlins, slicks, tyre warmers etc etc, they were always gunna be faster than my fairly std zx6 Laughing

Tyre warmers add 18bhp.

There are so many full race prepped bikes in novice aswell that cannot ride for shit.

There was a standard TZR250 in fast at lydden, and he was doing really well.

It's *all* about the rider, very little about the bike.
