Someones gotta follow the world cup!
How about todays game? The last 6 overs have to be some of the most exciting overs I have ever seen, even though SA managed to loose some how Sad
Zulu managed to hit three 6's in one over, one of them being a few centermeters from out !!

Anyway, just though I'd start a world cup thread...

Ya the world cup!

You know one of the culture shocks of moving over here is the sport. It's like the English are oblivious to that fact that their are many different sports. And the words 'sport' and 'world cup' doesn't always refer to football.

Cricket is normally quite boring to watch - but the last few overs of a one day can be pretty damn good.

lol, typical english attitute Razz
I would suggest that that is because of the english tendency to play test matches as apposed to one days. One days are infinatly more exciting (esp the last few overs). But i still tend to watch on and off for the majoritory. I only know a few people that will watch a whole day non-stop.

The "real" world cup is later on in the year. England are going to piss on everyone in rugby, especially the aussies (at least we can do it in a few sports). I do have to agree that cricket is not the most exciting sports in the world but then you don't have to watch it if you don't like it!
