Yes, Betty is for sale. We've had some good times together, but I feel that we've simply grown apart. For those that don't know, she is a 2001 ZX-6R J2 (599cc) on a Y plate.

She's got about 38,000 on the clock but that is innacurate for a number of reasons.
1, She's downgeared (2 down, 1 up) so thats been over-reading by about 15% for the last 10-ish k.
2, She had an engine change after Ste blew up her clutch - the new engine is on around 15,000 I think.
3, She's just had a new frame (brand new from Kwak - not from a broken bike). The old one cracked due to a missing swingarm spacer - that has been replaced. The new frame is from a G model - exactly the same bar some engine mounts and the lack of a steering damper mount. I've spent quite a bit of money replacing various nuts and bolts while doing this.

Cosmetically - she is not mint. The tank is dented in a couple of places (thanks to G) and there are scuffs and scrapes on the plastics.

The tyres are in great nick - rear D207 was fitted in November and a front D208 in April. Chain, sprockets and brake pads are all OK. She'd just (as in 20 miles ago) had an oil and filter change and new plugs about 60 miles ago. Steering head bearings are around 100 miles old. Swingarm bearings have been recently greased with a new sleeve fitted. Shock linkage also recently greased.

She's fitted with a Double Bubble screen, R&G Crash Bungs, a Remus Titanium can (standard will be included), a Datatool Veto Evo alarm/immobiliser, Datatag and Oxford heated grips.

Tax is until end March and MOT to April. She is HPI clear with the certificate to prove it, but feel free to do a check yourself (contact me for details).

Please feel free to PM/email me if you've got any questions.

£2000

I'd also just like to add that I do still have the old frame so you can check it to make sure that the numbers match.

Sure - as long as you can give me a £2400 deposit,

Like I said originally - yes it is. I do have a HPI cert, although you are more than welcome to run your own check.

More like it, will ring my insurance company tomorrow and see about selling the bandit.

Would the bike make a good commuter tool too?

cc123 gets between 130-150 miles from a tank so I remember. And with the way he rides, you should get a little more (the boys a hooligan Wink)

I have commuted on it. To uni was 25 miles of A road and Dually - not a problem. To my last place of work was 6 miles through heavy town traffic. Again - not a problem. With that riding I was seeing an indicated 180 miles or so to reserve, so probably an actual 150 or so.

Right, I would probably want to get a scottoiler on there and standard gearing..new chain and sprockets.

Will ring the insurance people in my spare time tomorrow and probably PM you, then its a case of selling the bandit.
