Hi

Try and make sure they know what the are doing with items where the finish needs to stay looking good.

From memory there are 2 basic kinds of powder used for coatings. One is more protective but tends to go dull after a short time and is commonly used for commercial applications (eg, shelves in warehouses). The other kind is less protective but gives a finish that stays shiney.

As such find someone who specialises in items such as car parts. I have used Redditch Shot Blasting but they are probably too far away for you.

All the best

Keith

Ed's Bikes in Nottingham do powder coating. Though i've never even been in there so I couldn't tell you whether they're any good.
