Motorcylce hire?? @17?

well im looking to hire a cheap 125 to learn the use of gears on for a weekend but most of the places you have to be over 21/25 or 18

which is no good to me as im 17, and i want to get my licence befor i turn 18 becuase then i wont have to fork out another £100 on the CBT

im in london but willing to catch a train and ride back ( great for learning eh?) if its not tooo far

Nobody will hire out a bike to somebody without any form of road licence or insureance (which you wont get without a cbt)

If your really worried about it then you could use a scootay for the day and work out the gears when you get your own bike.

Some places offer a scheme where you just keep comeing back till oyu pass, only costing a little the next time (£30/40 not £90)

You should be able to buy an MZ or cg125 for £300/400 or so, you'd be looking at £100 a day or somehting stupid to rent one Confused

Near croydon you can hire a mito for £30 a day & £300 deposit. If you're near there.

Suspect it might not be much more expensive to just do another CBT. However if you are taking lessons on a bike to get your test then ask the training school. Occasionally they do allow pupils to borrow bikes.

Yo, North London motorycles i believe rents out CG's or SR's for 50 quid a day or something like that. I know cos my friend rented one out. The place is in Rex Judd's in Edgware. Talk to a guy called John, he's some bearded japanese guy, top notch instructor and tell him that i told you to go there. OR instead, just do your CBT there for 100 quid. I believe my mate sheldon was 17 when he rented out a SR there for a day. Having said that, he did do his CBT there and used the bike to get familiar with gears in preparatoion for his test.

But seriously, do your CBT and actually get a license Wink

. It's easier that way. It costs 250-300 quid to get your license and training done there and i'd say its pretty good value for money. PM me if you need further details Jose.

nice one mate, iv already got a CBT but it will expire in January 2006 so thats why i want to get my licence befor then

looking at the webside mate they seem pretty decent, and especially on the prices! will deffo go there, instead of the local one which is charging £100 more for the same thing Confused

. They're definately recommended, because when i did my test, the previous people that did it on the day and day before with them all passed. Thumbs Up

. It's better than redoing a CBT too. But seriously, ask for John cos he's a cool guy.
