arrrgh, thats the problem with forums, conversation goes so far off on a tangent, you may even forget that there is a bike trying to be sold. Garages offering me £1500 but I know that all they will do is put new farings and charge £2200+ for it. Garage tried to push a brand spanking new R6 on to me. well new as in it was just out of a box but 2002 model. Good saving at only £5500 i thought. 2003 model costs somtihng like £7500. And all for the Deltabox 3! ?? oh well, i hope someone buys it off me

the thing is with selling these 125ccs is that you could buy a 600 in good nick for that sort of price and not alot of peeps want to spend more than a grand on their first bike which they know their not going to keep for long........

dean, a 125 buyer is in a different market to a 600 buyer. you might as well say you can get a 1000cc for that money

never buy new!!! its not fucking worth it, especially not on an 125 or a bike you know you wont be having that long. problem is, like me, most people buy before they actually have a large amount of advice. i spoke to a few ppl my dad knows, and they suggested new, but saying that now, i wouldnt describe them as a bikers now really

you loss so much value on a new bike, and on a new 125 it is likely to go down about £500 before you have even touched it, and even more if you then use it Crying or Very sad

Alot of young people buy new thinking its very good to own a brand new bike.

Also after speaking to a few people at college they would only buy new too???!!!???
Personally i'd save the money for my beer, or say my crash...
