In an attempt to find the restrictor washers on my nc30, i've been following my haynes manual guide to removing the carbs.
It ain't much good and i'm having trouble getting the carbs off.

You should only have to undo the four jubliee clips on the lower rubbers to remove the carbs.

But they can be a nightmare to get back in place, I used a ratchet strap on mine to pull the carbs into place in the end.

Good luck! Smile

hate to blow my own trumpet, but usually takes 5 mins.

i find the trick is to fit the rubber collars to the engine side, then screw the lower jubille clips in place.

Then make sure the upper jubille clips are almost fully open.

Then apply a small (AND I MEAN SMALL) amount of lubricant, e.g. machine oil or even washing up liquid to the insides of the rubber collars.

Then start with the front right carb (as viewed from seat) - TIP- The choke mechansim must be at the front - Once the front right carb is loosely positioned, next line up the front left, then push those into the rubber collars, then swing the 2x rear carbs down and push those into position too. Once all 4 are lined up, push the carbs all the way into the collars and tighten the upper jubilee clips.

hope this helps

Jamie
