Has anybody got any experience with Oxford hot grips, as i have seen them on offer for £39.99, reduced from £59.99.

I was wondering if any of you all year bikers have used them, and secondly, would they be easy to install on a cbr600f?

I'm assuming you mean the over-grips? If so, I've got them on my SV! Had normal heated grips on my last bike so can make a good comparison. The oxford ones seem hotter to me and this may be due to them being fabric rather than rubber. They are very easy to fit as you don't actually need to remove your current grips - they just wrap around them.

To fit you just connect the wires to the battery, mount the switch, wrap the over-grips around the bikes grips (The grips are rubber lined so don't slip) and finally cable tie the wires out of the way. Much easier than standard grips where you have to cut away the old grip.

Another advantage i can see is that come summer you can just unwrap the over-grips and unplug them (they plug into the switch so you can leave that and the battery connections in place). A normal heated grip is on for good and like normal rubber grips will eventually wear down and expose the heating elements.

Had heated grips before, they are not a total soloution to cold hands in winter.. only thing that will do that is heated gloves..

Grips are ok till it gets to -numbers, or going allong @5degrees for an hour, then they are pretty useless (even turned right up they just burn your palm while your knuckles are beeing frozen)

Apparently they work great (usually) but make sure they dont foul your clutch or brake levers... maybe fit some sort of metal strip to hold it away from them...?

Connect to the battery? are you mad? You only do that if you have a kickstart. (that's one way to kill your battery)

To fit properly there is a spare feed in the loom, remove the headlight and you should find a free brown wire.
