X-Ray Arai Helmet ?

I was in Hein Gericke (Newcastle) the other day looking too buy a new helmet, I was looking at the Arai helmets ………….. eventually the sales person came over and asked if I needed a hand with anything…I started to talk to him about how I was after a new helmet because I’d come off my bike and hit my helmet off the ground pretty hard so I just wanted a new one to be better safe than sorry. Anyway he asked me what type of helmet I had been wearing………..the reason being……….if it was an Arai Helmet, it could be taken to Hein Gericke and they would send it back to Arai to be x-rayed to see if it was compromised in any way from damage or impact…………for free!!

I was just wondering has anybody used this service before, and if so did it come back fine when you thought it was knackered?

Not used the service but top marks to the sales person who genuinely tried to help instead of just grabbing your money.

Unfortunately, the helmet I smacked off the tarmac wasn’t Arai so I can’t use the service, but I would like to hear if someone has cos it would definitely influence my next choice in helmet .

You can't fault Arai for their customer and after sales service, there's not only the x-ray checks but also the service truck at various race meets and shows that will give it a once over and clean for free.
Just depends if you've got an "Arai Shaped Head" or not, if you have then you can't beat 'em, expensive but worth every penny for peace mind and comfort.
