Now i may be worrying about nothing but i'll see what you guys think.

My bike used to 'rumble' a bit due to the exhaust and also when it was accelerating. Now it 'whines' like the sound of a washing machine is starting when accelerating. I never noticed this 'whine' before as now the exhaust seems quieter!

All this has happened since i went through a large puddle and soaked the bike.

Should i be worried?

That does seem weird

the only thing i worry about when i go thru large lake like puddles is the electrics but that wont effect the sound

was it a deep puddle? sounds daft but maybe a huge amount of water got into your exhaust, sounds extreme but its all i can really think of

what kind of bike is it?

Its a GSXR600 K4.

It was a deep puddle- 8 inches or so!

I thought it was just water on the road- not a bloody resevoir! Cool

As i went through it the water even went over my head- thats how high the water went.

I went from 47mph-15mph in under a second! Embarassed

Hmmmm.
