this is my 2003 NSR 125, i completely resprayed it and added a lot of carbon fibre!! apparently this would cost over 3600 english pounds if u wished a company to do it for you!! i did it myself and am uber happy with it!

Sorry, but I think I prefer the original paint scheme Confused Where's the £3k plus of carbon? I can see an exhaust, hanger and heel plates? For over £3000 I'd expect carbon fibre fairings and a fuel tank.

What amazes me here is how the hell does a pillion stay on, they look so uncomfortable and scary, but then I guess not many of you here take pillion that often Confused

Not on an NSR, certainly. Shocked

Riding as a pillion is all about gripping with your legs. Get that right and you need hardly use your arms at all, even under hard acceleration. Not scary with a little practise, unless the rider appears to be intent on becoming a bonnet ornament.

Uncomfortable? Certainly so, depending on the bike. Thundercats and Fazers are good for pillions though. (The GPZ500 is comfy too, but a bit too cramped.) I've found no other sportsbike (including the VFR 750) which was particularly comfortable.

Sorry but that NSR has been mutilated, the paintjob looks like it was done by someone suffering from Parkinsons wielding a Tipex pen.

I took my girlfriend pillion on her NSR a couple of times and she found it fine, infact she doesn't mind going on any bike really, except the R1 which she says is horribly uncomfortable.

I think its easy to see that you did it yourself, in my opinion you have now ruined a perfectly good looking nsr

Please do not try custom paint jobs again, as your in danger of ruining another bikes good looks, best leave it to the pros

welll erm at least its original.....what mods have you done exactly, except for what looks like heel plates. And get rid of the mud guard, it looks ridiculous, I thought mine was bad, mines getting cut off as soon as the warranty runs out.

If you trim down the back numberplate hanger and put on 7x5 plate the back end will look sweet Cool

its the paint job that would cost that in labour!!
theres only the exhaust cover and heelplates in carbon fibre, i cant play with the performance until i pass my full test

Its got pearlescent mettalic paint on so THATS why ther are different coloured shades, the paint is proffesionally laid on and perfect as i have spent my life playing in my fathers bodyshop and happen to know exacty what im doing!

I didnt want the bike to look completely different because it would a) cost me on insurance and i liked the original honda colour scheme!

I hate to admit it guys but the traditional look is pants!the stickered on lightening bolt looks like shite n doesnt even follow the line of the bike! The colours used are bland and tacky and theres no sense of co-ordination between the red and blue!

Good advice about the rear mud guard tho i'll get hacking at that when i have a minute!

dont get the hump i didnt mean it, the bike looks lovely as it is, thats why i bought it! Also for the general honda quality!

Was just a bit annoyed at the general bad mouthing of my pride and joy as any of you would be if i layed into your bike!

Thanks who ever said it looked factory standard! that was the point! I didnt want it to be obvious to anyone that it was a custom job, but atleast i know no on else is ridin around on a bike thats identical to mine!

I dont see why every customised bike should be over the top outragously different anyway!! Subtle!!

I like it n i know you would if you saw it, the pictures r dodgy cos i took them on my fone but trust me, theres not a speck on that body thats not bin painted perfectly, so whoever said it looks like i used tip ex clearly is a muppet!

Ever seen pearlescent paint? Heard of it??It subtly changes the tone of the colour in varying light refractions! SO when you walk around it - NOT a stationary 2D photo, the over all effect is wank worthy!

see, learn something new every day

Fair play, but if it was me spending that much money on it i would rather get a 'proper' customised paint job etc Thumbs Up

Edit: Actually, i'd rather save my money for something else Very Happy
