can you bump start a FI bike with an alarm?

If by FI you mean fuel injected, and your battery is totaly flat then no. You MIGHT be able to if you have a hill and get the engine spinning fast enough to generate enough power for the injectors, but i doubt you would ever manage it just pushing. Best bet is to jump start it from a car.

And, is an alarm / immobaliser? If so and it's activated, then I doubt it.

I have bump started my bike (Daytona 600) and it has a datatool system 3. Works, just make sure the alarm is deactivated.

Breakdown cover with homestart is probably what you're after. Either that or get a jump start pack for about the same price. (c. £50.)

As long as the alarm de-activates and there is at least a glimmer of a ignition / oil warning light then YES!!!!!!

I had to bump mine earlier this year, 4 times in one damn day, then i paid £70 and bought a new 'VARTA'..

I did go through the comedy spectacle of pushing it, having just enough power generated for the alarm to go off and the immobiliser kick in, repeatedly.

I once left my car at the airport and one of my passengers left one of the courtesy lights on [ or it could have been me ] anyhow, because of the built in immobiliser it wouldn't bump start and I had to call out a recovery truck and was jump started. It seems that you need residual voltage in your battery before an immobiliser will allow the engine to start.

It would be probably cheaper for you to just get a new battery than to pay for someone to jump start you. They come already charged!..

And as I've said before, if the battery is flat it is knackered anyhow. And it will never fully charge again.
