Lets face it, the only excuses to own one should be as follows:

1/ Your a girl, can't lift a bike and your nails break when cleaning it.

2/ Your an old fart and can't move a big bike.

That's about it I think!

Why do i hate them so much?
Cos there scum of the road, in central london i get more respect from taxi drivers.

I've adopted a self preservation immune system, i can't see them, they get sucked into the air box and spat out of the exaust pipe.

Cut the bastards up and let them know you ain't taking any shit off them.

I let them filter through the gaps i can't get through cos i get great joy from pasting them a few moments later.

We'll never get rid of them so assume your No1 .

Have you seen the girlie scirts the put on the front to keep them dry, how the fuck can a bloke with any self respect use them?

As for the motorcycle parking areas, that's all that should be allowed in them, let beat each others scootythings up while we keep a distance and respect eachothers pride n joy.

Feel the same, hate them to bits but usually keep it quiet as it can upset some folk who then go on a rant.

Personally, I'd move out of London. Problem sorted. I see maybe 2 scoots a week in Glasgow and both are your typical 'fashion' victim.

I'd actually go further and ban all PTWs. It's really annoying when you're driving a car, especially if you're stuck in traffic, and have bikes overtaking you, and filtering to the top of the queue at traffic lights.

They also don't seem to have any respect for car drivers. Can't they see cars are bigger, therefore, automatically should have the right of way?

Also, it really annoys me when I can't find a parking place for my imaginary car because more and more car bays are being converted into bike bays, and the bikes don't even pay for their parking.

And what is with the stupid coloured leathers the bikers tend to wear? How can a bloke, older than 6, with any self respect wear them? On girls, they just make their bums look big.

I suppose they are alright for nipping down the shops but i'd never own one. I decided i'd rather wait a few years to get a proper bike rather than buzz around at 40mph on a food blender on wheels.

My lad's (cog head) 16 and hes got a rieju 50cc race rep, you can have a ped which is almost a proper bike. He loves it when he's out with his mates who are on there scooters and only he gets the nodd of other bikes, the scooter boys can't understand it, they never will!

Some scooter riders are fine but you get some of these stuipd office employee types on 125cc+ large scooters wearing there desginer jacket and trousers who block all the other bikes and small scooters from filtering through traffic.

Yet that 50cc race rep will go no faster than the average scooter, especially if it's restrcited as it should be. All that idiot pays for is the privelege of carrying 20kgs worth of fairing round with him.

I had a scooter in London for a year, then 6 months on a geared 125 and now a 500.

I just dont want to start slagging off scooters (and yes they do annoy me too) because I spent a year on one riding in exactly the same way, thinking I was unstoppable, darting in and out of traffic sneering at bikers.

I think the biggest thing to gripe about is that people, including myself, were allowed to jump on a scooter after a 1 day course and this shows in the way they ride on the road. However if you take that a start to go on to bigger, better bikes with some proper training and tests then it cant be a bad thing!

The VFR does it for me, i commute log distance and it would be hard going head down arse up! (Broken wrists from bike accidents)I can still go for a scratch at the weekend and it's got the grunt to fly.I may be a retired teenager going grey but i ain't no slouch on the black stuff.

You can't pass by if they're in trouble though, I pulled a young girl and her ped out of a ditch last week, loads of cars passed by but didn't stop, she gave me a good quote tho, ' Can't wait to pass me test so I can get a big bike'. A girl after me heart. Turns out her old mans a biker aswell.
