Hi its my 1st post!
On stripping down my Yamaha RD 250 LC I have noticed it requires the rear frame rails straightening, the wheel alignment is okay and it has a current mot. Can anyone recommend a frame repairer in Scotland? I have spoken to one from Dorset who can't forsee any problems from my description on the phone, but its 500 miles away, how do I package such a thing for delivery by courier? I would prefer to repair my frame than buy another from a broken bike. Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi,

Is Cougar Customs still in business, they used to have a place in Stirling, did a cracking job on my mates alloy frame so a steel frame would be no sweat to them. Failing that a good fabricators business or blacksmiths shop would have the ability to do the job, it doesn't need a 'frame specialist' to deal with what you have described.

Hi

Probably worth asking round a few local bike shops. Straightening frames used to be done quite commonly using a jig to make sure they actually do come out straight.

All the best
