All I can find on google are car alloy repair places, and some frame repair shops in the states which could do the job.

I have a wheel which has a flat spot in the rim and wandered if there is anywhere in the uk that can true it out. I don't really want to post a rear wheel to the usa.

repairing alloy wheels that have been dinged isn't a good idea.

if it's only a slight dent, I have a mate who knows somewhere, but ahnything more than a very slight ding will possibly weaken the wheel further when unbent.

As feef said its not a great idea to repair a wheel but if the damage isn't too bad then go to your local blacksmith, if he can't do it he'l no somewhere that can, Thumbs Up Dan

They are based in Stoke on Trent and do a superb job. Send them a picture and they will tell you if they can do it and the price.

Did you try yell.co.uk? Would of thought there would be a few on there?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Thanks for the links people, I've ordered a replacement, but I'll keep Hagon in mind for the future, 73 pounds is cheaper than a 2nd hand replacement, which you don't know the history of.

I wouldn't personally have any qualms about using a straightened wheel, some places can true them out better than OE specs!

129 squid delivered. I used https://www.partsgateway.co.uk they were pretty good, it's a partfinder service, but the breakers pay. When you ring up don't mention the website, just inquire; I was quoted £30 less when I called.

Yeah, heard of them. I tried that site myself, got quotes ranging from £120 to £170 for a 2nd hand wheel. Thought that was a bit high tho.
